the environment song
Note: Although I have finished the whole song, I am workin' on polishing the rest of the song, so here is another incomplete piece (hope you don't mind @Chantal ).
Like Selena said,
Every beautiful thought's been already sung
So here is the hard truth you've been hiding from
What the fuck has happened to you
Can't you see the islands sinking
Can't you hear us crying? a generation begging?
Of cause you cant, You're blinded
Double-D — tits of greed cover your eyes
Yes! Of cause you cant, You're deafened
Corruption pissed in your ears you deaf fool
Every beautiful thought's been already sung
So here is the hard truth you've been hiding from
What the fuck has happened to you
Can't you see the islands sinking
Can't you hear us crying? a generation begging?
Of cause you cant, You're blinded
Double-D — tits of greed cover your eyes
Yes! Of cause you cant, You're deafened
Corruption pissed in your ears you deaf fool

angel's dust
Note: I wrote this a back, was going through my old song books last night when I found this. And now, my friend Orthorexia, has agreed to use this lyrics for one of his songs =)
Take me in, I’m your friend
Walk with me, this is the end
Fuck* the sinner you’ll see
Pleasure and pride I shall be
Plunge yourself into public hate
At last I will become your only true fate
I will rip you apart
And still bring peace to your heart
Take me in – I am the angel’s dust
Never, would I let you die and rust
I shall protect you; I promise I shall be the first
I shall be with you, until you seek this earth’s crust
Come with me, I’ll lead the way
I’ll take you to the happiest bay
Your days shall be free – nights be gay
Take me in; I am your friend
Walk with me; I’ll rip you apart
And still bring peace to your heart
Come with me, I’ll lead the way
I’ll take you to the happiest bay
Your days shall be free – nights be gay
Come my friend –– anything you say
Walk with me, this is the end
Fuck* the sinner you’ll see
Pleasure and pride I shall be
Plunge yourself into public hate
At last I will become your only true fate
I will rip you apart
And still bring peace to your heart
Take me in – I am the angel’s dust
Never, would I let you die and rust
I shall protect you; I promise I shall be the first
I shall be with you, until you seek this earth’s crust
Come with me, I’ll lead the way
I’ll take you to the happiest bay
Your days shall be free – nights be gay
Take me in; I am your friend
Walk with me; I’ll rip you apart
And still bring peace to your heart
Come with me, I’ll lead the way
I’ll take you to the happiest bay
Your days shall be free – nights be gay
Come my friend –– anything you say
*This word is replaced to be "Embrace" in the clean version of this lyrics.

sorry religious freaks - i don't like you!
I don’t normally talk about people – especially about different groups, races, religious sects, the illegal immigrants (as my friend Mujahid puts it) and so on. But, when things go too far, someone has to say something – right? And by my good or bad luck, this time, that someone is me.
I have always had a problem with the Maldivian bearded so called religious guys. I am not talking about everyone, but those hypocrites who claim to be true Muslims (apparently they claim that we the moderate Muslims aren’t “real” Muslims…*bleh*) and then do everything Islam prohibits, like it’s the most normal thing.
This morning, before heading to office I was at this local cafĂ©’ having a cup of morning coffee when I overheard one of these “True Muslims”, talking about the former president. Believe me 4 of every 5 words this guy let out of his arecanut stuffed mouth was pure Maldivian Filth!
At this point you may think I was annoyed because he was talking about the former president. No, I don’t really have a problem if someone chops and makes curry out of Mr. Gayyom. My problem was with this guy claiming to be the true Muslim, who was, at my best knowledge breaking down the basic rules of religion. His words were a perfect juxtapose to the teachings of this holy religion.
Islam teaches us equality. It teaches us respect and it teaches us and warns us not to talk behind people’s backs. And there was this guy, talking all the shit you can talk about a person. This however is not surprising. The so called sheiks of this country are far worse than these laymen. The Maldivian sheiks are perfect examples of what the Maldivians call “roanu edhurun” or in other words “people who know it all”.
Back in 2008, during the elections, one of the biggest “roanu edhurun” of Maldives, as far as my view is concerned, lead a prayer asking the Almighty to bring great woe on to the then president and his followers. In what religion you know does it allow for one human to pray asking to bring such sorrow onto others?
And then there is the Sheik Cucumber Thongs as he has become famous to most people. As he is from Dhaalu Atoll where my mom is from, I know this guy and most of the games he play behind the curtains. Now, nobody would disagree when I say that one of the most important things in the religion of Islam is respecting parents. And for a fact I know how this sheiks mother live. She lives a sad lonely life, back in her island because Sheik Far-Read wouldn’t allow her to live here with his family.
I can show more examples, yet I know that these despotic hypocrites wouldn’t change their ways. For those of you who really think about this with an open mind, you will see that these are the people who stain the purity of this holy religion.

a letter to those who betrayed this nation!
Dear Mr. Luthufee & Sagaru Nasir,
As we celebrate our nation's Victory Day today, I would like to thank you both and the people who were with you, on your side during the November 3, 1988 attack. Thank You!
Of cause, the best thing any citizen of any nation could do for their country would be to overthrow a dictatorship and save it's people from the claws of that dictatorship; bring a revolution, and get the people what they deserve. In this regard, what you did makes total sense. You aimed to give the Maldivians - atleast those involved in the attack with you - what they deserved.
What did the Maldivians deserve at the time? I don't know! I wasn't even born back then. But after reading the investigation reports that were later published, I for a fact know that what this nation deserved - what this Islamic Nation deserved - or wanted back then, wasn't what Nasir listed in his speech at the Islamic Center that day. From what I've read up till now, what Nasir promised Maldivians were "freedom of religion", alcohol, night clubs, public nudity and uncensored movies...porn!
Both of you and your allies, - most of whom run the present government -, might have wanted what was in that list. Not the Maldivians. Someone who were at Islamic Center confirms that Nasir mentioned freedom of religion in his list. Well, I have a question for Nasir. Who forced the Maldivians to follow Islam? The constitution you may answer. NO! Being a Muslim might have been compulsory for all Maldivians. But from the reports I mentioned earlier, we clearly know that the idea to overthrow the government came to both of you while you sirs were having a drink! in that case, weren't you already using your freedom of religion within the capital of this country?
Hoping I have made it clear that in my view, the attack was pointless, now I would like to explain why I thanked you both and your scapegoats like Karo Abbas and Abdulla Shahid at the beginning of this letter.
I thanked you all because that day when you attacked, you showed the world that Maldivians were ready to give their lives for their religion and country. Those civilians and the heroes of National Security Service, NSS, (now MNDF), who fell fighting that day lit a fire in every Maldivian's heart. A fire of passion, passion for fighting and serving for the nation. I thanked you because, you showed this nation, how greed and selfishness could ruin what we spent years building.
Before I conclude, here is a list of martyrs, for whose death you are responsible for;
01. Kuda Nevi Thuthu Manik / H. Watheengie / NSS.
02. Kuda Adam Kuda Thuththu / M. Cowslip. / NSS.

still the same...!?
This is an article I wrote back in April,2010, on my other blog that i used to run at the time. I wanted to share this thought once again since nothing has been done on this issue.
No Sea Scouting in Maldives. WHY?
This is an article I wrote back in April,2010, on my other blog that i used to run at the time. I wanted to share this thought once again since nothing has been done on this issue.I first met a Sea Scout while I was in Narita,Japan in 2004 attending the SAJ 2003/04 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT FORUM, The whole concept of Sea Scouting was new to me then. But as I came to know more about Sea Scouting, I started to wonder why Maldives doesn't have Sea Scouting.
For a country where 99% of its geographical area is ocean,it is surprising that we don't have Sea Scouts in Maldives. Sea Scouting, without doubt would be the best form of Scouting for Maldivian boys and girls. If introduced, Sea Scouting would help the Maldivian Scouts to be more active and would help them in exploring their true environment.
I always believed that experience is the best teacher, And for a growing up Maldivian teenager, there would be no better experience than going out to the sea and exploring the beauty of our oceans.

Lets come back to our main topic, WHY?
I have personally tried to find an answer to this question and the only answer I tend to get is, "Having Sea Scouts is a good idea...". Yes! This is not an answer but a comment, but this is all I get in reply, may it be a parent, scout or leader.
Its time somebody take the lead and propose the registration of a Sea Scout Group to the Scout Association of Maldives.

a nation at war !
Maldives has always been famous for the sandy beaches and its underwater beauty. It has always been praised for the breathtaking environment and the dreamy weather. Great travelers like Ibn Battuta have written about the friendliness and the welcoming nature of the Maldivian people. But that, was then! Ofcourse! Things have changed. We claim to have become more civilized. Or have we?
Its with shame, I have to admit today that we must be one of the most selfish and stubborn people on earth. Not to mention the most careless too.We have lost the precious values, the unique tradition and the great pride our ancestors martyred themselves for. Today we see, our lands, our economy, and our airports; the gates to this little nation being sold to the highest 'bidesi' bidder.
It has become a norm for this generation, to see gang fights on the streets - juvenile gangsters stabbings their rivals, or to open the newspaper every morning, to the filthy story of how a sick pedophile has been sexually abusing some 8 or 9 year old kid for years. Denial has become our shadow, ignorance our first resort.
And then there are the so called environmentalists of our nation. Big suites who talk big words around the world but in reality knows very little about what this environment is suffering. Those people who doesnt know what helps the world environment; making a movie to promote themselves, or asking the world if they would commit murder.
With a government that lies, and a police force that exists, well, lets say to protect and serve their asses, we have nothing to go by. Crime gone rampant, we Maldivians have adapted to violence, and unjust like the sun rising and setting everyday.
The big picture of this small nation is, we are not what our leaders advertise us to be.
So here is one of my favorite quotes, hoping our leaders will learn something from this and try to give us a better nation.
Until we totally change the way we elect our leaders, until we remove private money from public campaigns, lying will be the de facto method of governance in this country.
